The ratio of present ages of Neeta and rohit is 2:3. Five years ago their ages were in the ratio 3:5. Find their present ages.​

Given :

  • Present Ages of Neeta and Rohit are in ratio 2:3.
  • Five Years Ago their ages were in ration 3:5.

To Find :

  • Present Age of Neeta and Rohit.

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:Present\:Age\:of\:Rohit=2x}

Five Years Ago :

\longmapsto\tt{Age\:of\:Neeta=2x-5}

\longmapsto\tt{Age\:of\:Rohit=3x-5}

A.T.Q :

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{2x-5}{3x-5}=\dfrac{3}{5}}

\longmapsto\tt{5(2x-5)=3(3x-5)}

\longmapsto\tt{10x-25=9x-15}

\longmapsto\tt{10x-9x=-15+25}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{x=10}

Value of x is 10...

Therefore :

\longmapsto\tt\bold{20\:yrs.}
