According to the Question

x/y = 3/4

so x = 3/4y

After 8 years

age of Pramod = x + 8

age of deepak = y + 8

x+8/y+8 = 5/6

so x+8 = 5/6(y+8)

x+8 = 5/6y+20/3

as x = 3/4y

3/4y + 8 = 5/6y + 20/3

8 - 20/3 = 5/6y - 3/4y

4/3 = 2/24y

y = 16

The required answer is 16.
