The ratio of present ages of Virat and Sachin is 5 : 9. Three years hence ratio of their ages will be 3 : 5. Find Virat's present age?​

x+3 / y+3 = 3/5

5(5y/9) -3y = -6 [ putting (1) in (2)]

( 25y - 27y)/9 = -6 (taking Lcm)

-2y = -54

y= 54/2= 27

so sachin's age is 27 years .

virat's age = 5(27)/9

=> 5 × 3 = 15 [27÷9=3]

therefore, Virat's age is 15 years.
