let.the area.of small circle be πr^2,,r=2x
and bigger.circle be πR^2,,,R==3x
ratio=πr^2/πR^2=. (2x)^2/(3x)^2
==4x^2/9x^2
=>4/9
so the ratio of the.area is 4:9
and bigger.circle be πR^2,,,R==3x
ratio=πr^2/πR^2=. (2x)^2/(3x)^2
==4x^2/9x^2
=>4/9
so the ratio of the.area is 4:9

hi
The ratio of radii of two circles is is 2:3
let it be 2r and 3r
ratio of their areas = ?
area of circle = πr²
here r = radius
area of smaller circle = πr²
=> π *2r²
=>π * 4r
area of bigger circle = πr²
=> π *3r²
=>π * 9r
ratio = (π * 4r ) / (π * 9r)
=> 4 : 9
=>2:3
