Let the two no.s be 'x' and 'y'
Let x>y

By Qn,

 \frac{x + y}{x - y}  =  \frac{8}{3}
ie
3x + 3y = 8x - 8y
ie
5x = 11y
ie
 \frac{x}{y}  =  \frac{11}{5}
Thus the no.s are in the ratio 11:5

Let the nos. be x and y.
A/Q (x+y)/(x-y)=8/3
By cross multiplication, we will get x/y =11/5.
