let the length =4x and breadth 3x
so...perimeter of rectangle is 2(length +breadth)
ATQ 2(4x +3x)=560
2(7x)=560
14x =560
x=40
length =4*40=160
breadth =3*40=120

Given :-

  • Ratio of adjacent side of rectangle is 4:3
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 560 cm²

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

To find :-

  • Length and breadth of rectangle

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

Let's assume :-

  • Let the adjacent sides be 4x and 3x

ㅤ‎

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

Solution :-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b )

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

  • 560 = 2( 4x + 3x)

  • 560 = 2(7x)

  • 560 = 14 x

  • 560/14 = x

  • 40 = x

ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎ㅤ‎

Therefore,

  • First side = 4x = 4(40) = 160 cm
  • Second side = 3x = 3(40) = 120 cm
