the ratio of the age of father and son is 2:1.After 10 years the ratio becomes 5:2 . Find the ages .​

let the ratio constant be x

present age of father=2x

present age of son=1x=x

after 10 years

age of father=2x+10

age of son=x + 10

also,

age of father=5x

age of son=2x

x+10=2x

2x-x=10

x=10

present age of father=2x=2*10=20yrs

present age of son=1x=1*10=10yrs..
