Answer:

Option B 3:5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the age of Ram be X yrs

And that of Rahim be Y yrs.

10 years ago,

=> x-10/y-10 = 1/3

=> 3x - 30 = y - 10

=> 3x - y = 20 -----------(eqn. 1)

After 5 years,

=> x+5/y+5 = 2/3

=> 3x + 15 = 2y + 10

=> 3x - 2y = - 5 -----------(eqn. 2)

Subtarct eqn 2 from 1

=> 3x - y - 3x + 2y = 20 + 5

=> y = 25

Put the value of y in eqn. 1

=>3x - 25 = 20

=> 3x = 45

=> x = 15

Hence the age of Ram is 15 years, And that of Rahim is 25 years.

=> Ratio of their ages = 15/25

= 3 : 5
