Hi friend,

Let the ages of Ram and Rahim be 2x and 3x respectively.

Age of Ram after six years = 2x+6
Age of Rahim after six years = 3x+6

A.T.Q
2x+6/3x+6 = 3/4
By cross multiplication:
4(2x+6) = 3(3x+6)
8x+24 = 9x+18
8x-9x = 18-24
x = 6

present age of Ram= 2x = 2×6= 12+2 = 14years
Present age of Rahim= 3x = 3×6= 18+2 = 20years

===========================
Hope this helped u...

Ratio of ages of Ram and Rahim two years ago is 2:3.

Let their ages two years ago be 2x and 3x respectively.

So, According To Question after six years ratio of their ages will be 3:4 .

or, (2x+6)/(3x+6) = 3/4

or, 4(2x+6)= 3(3x+6)

or, 8x+24 = 9x + 18

or, 24-18 = 9x-8x

or, x = 6

so, Age of Ram 2 years ago = 2×6 = 12 years

Age of Rahim two years ago = 3×6 = 18 years

Present age of Ram = 12+2 = 14 years

Present age of Rahim = 18+2 = 20 years
