let the ages be x
so.. 5x and 7x are two present ages
7x-5x=18
2x=18
x=18/2
x=9
therefore
present ages
5x=5×9=45
7x=7×9=63
ages after 5years = present age + 5
so, it will be 45+5=50 & 63+5=68
sum of ages after 5 years= 50+68=118.
