Let the water in A and B be 4x and 7x respectively.

According to the given condition,

¼th of water in A is poured in B

So, Water in B = 7x + 4x/4

= 7x + x

=8x

Water ramaining in A = 4x-x = 3x

Again,¼ of water in B (8x) is poured into A.

So, Water in A = (¼ X 8x)+3x

= 2x+3x

= 5x

Now, Water in B = 8x-2x = 6x

Ratio of A to B = 5x:6x = 5:6

A : B = 4 : 7

Let A and B  ratio be 4x and 7x.

Water poured in B = 1/4 of 4x

                                = \frac{1}{4} * 4x

                                = x

Water left in A after pouring into B = 4x - x = 3x

Water becomes in B after adding water by A = 7x + x = 8x

water poured into A by B = 1/4 of 8x

                                            = 1/4 * 8x = 2x

Water in B after pouring into A = 8x - 2x = 6x

Water in A after adding water by B = 3x + 2x = 5x

A : B = 5x : 6x = 5:6

ANSWER = 5 : 6
