Answer:

  • Length of rectangle = 4 cm
  • Breadth of rectangle = 3 cm
  • Ar. of square : Ar. of rectangle = 4 : 3
  • Side of Square = ?

We will find Area of rectangle, after that we can find Area of square by the use of ratio. At the end we can get side of square.

Let the Area of square and Area of rectangle be 4n and 3n respectively.

Area of the Rectangle :

⇒ Area = Length × Breadth

  • Putting given values

⇒ 3n = 4 cm × 3 cm

⇒ n = (4 × 3 cm²)/3

⇒ n = 4 cm²

Area of the Square :

⇢ Area = (Side)²

  • Putting given values

⇢ 4n = (Side)²

⇢ 4 × 4 cm² = (Side)²

⇢ √(4 × 4 cm²) = Side

Side = 4 cm

Hence, Side of the square is 4 cm.
