The ratio of the curved surface area and the total surface area of a cylinder is 2:3. Find the volume of the cylinder if it is given that the height of the cylinder is 6 cm.​

Answer:

Ratio of CSA and TSA

== 2πrh : 2πr(r+h)

== h:r+h

Given ratio == 2:3

h/r+h = 2/3

== 3h = 2r+2h

== h = 2r

Height of the cylinder = 6cm

therefore Radius = 3cm

Volume of cylinder = πr²h == 22/7 × 9× 6 cm³ == 169.64 cm³
