Answer:-

r = 7cm

h = 7cm

Given that :-

The ratio of the curved surface area and total surface area of a cylinder is 1 : 2.

To find :-

height and radius of the cylinder.

Solution :-

Curved surface area : Total surface area = 1 : 2

Curved surface area : 616 = 1 : 2

\frac{Curved \ surface \ area }{616} =\frac{1}{2}

curved surface area = \frac{616}{2}  = 308cm^2

again,

=> \frac{C.S. A }{T.S.A} =\frac{1}{2}

=> \frac{2\pi rh }{2\pi r (h+r)} =\frac{1}{2}

=> \frac{h }{h+r} =\frac{1}{2}

=> 2h=h+r

=> h=r

Curved Surface area = 2\pi rh = 2\pi r^2 = 308 , since h = r

=> 2 × \frac{22}{7} × r^2

=> r^2=\frac{308 \ * \ 7 }{44} = 49

=>r = 7 cm

Now,

h = 7cm
