Answer:

The answer is 6 seconds.

Explanation:

Let the time of travel = t

Using the 2nd equation of motion.

S = ut + 1/2 at^2

(Since u = o and a = g)

S = 1/2 gt^2 .......(1)

In t-1 second

S = 1/2 g (t-1)^2

Distance travelled in the last second.

S - S' = S''

S'' =  1/2 gt^2 - 1/2 g (t-1)^2

    = 1/2 G (2t -1)..... (2)

Now divide equation 2 by 1

11/36 =  1/2 G (2t -1)/  1/2 gt^2

11t^2 = 36(2t -1)

t = 6 seconds
