Let's assume the height of the pole be the perpendicular (p) and the ground be the base(b)
NOTE:(I am not using theta no theta available in my keypad but u apply it while writing)

We know
sin/cos=tan
So tan=p/b

Since b/p=√3/1
Then p/b=1/√3

1/√3 is the value of tan30°

Hence angle of elevation is 30°..
