Question:-

the ratio of the height of a tree and it's shadow is 6:10 if the length of the shadow is 15m find the height of the tree

Answer:-

  • The height of tree is 9 m.

To find:-

  • Height of tree

Solution:-

  • Ratio = 6:10

Put x in the ratio,

  • Height of tree = 6x
  • Length of shadow = 10x

Given,

  • Length of shadow = 15 m

According to question,

 \large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 10x = 15}

 \large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: x =  \frac{15}{10} } \\

 \large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: x = 1.5}

  • The value of x is 1.5

Now, we have to find Height of tree:-

 \large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 6x}

 \large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 6 \times 1.5}

 \large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 9}

Hence,

The height of tree is 9 m.

Answer:

answer will be 9

6x and 10x

10x = 15

x = 3/2

6x = 6×3/2

= 9.

hence height of tree will be 9m
