The ratio of the income and savings of a family is 9:2. Find the expenditure,if the savings is 4276

Answer:

Income:Savings = 9:2

so, income = 9x & savings = 2x

2x = 4276

x = 4276/2 = 2138

Income = 9(2138) = 19242

Expenditure = Income - Savings

= 19242 - 2138

= 17104
