Answer:

Rs. 11250

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the ratio be = x

Then Income of  A = 5x

        Income of B= 7x

Let the expenditure of B= y

Then, A/Q

Expenditure of A = 66 * 2/3 %  of y

= 66* [(2/3)/100 * y]

= 66 * y/150

= 0.44y

Savings of A = income- Expenditure of A

= 5x-0.44y

Now, A/Q 5x-0.44y= 4000...............Equation (1)

SAvings of B= 7x-y

A/Q 7x-y= 5000........................Equation (2)

Now Multiplying equation (2) by 0.44 ands subtracting from (1) we get

5x-0.44y-3.08x+0.44y = 4000-2200

1.92x=1800

x=937.5

Therefeore , Total income of A and B = 5x+7x=12x=12*937.5

Hence, Total income of A and B = Rs. 11250
