Ratio of income to expenditure = 9:8

Expenditure = ₹ 64000

Let the income be ₹ x.

According to condition,

9:8 :: x:64000

or, 9/8 = x/64000

or, 8x = 64000×9

or, 8x = 576000

or, x = 576000/8

or, x = 72000

So, income = ₹ x = ₹ 72000

Savings = Income - Expenditure

= ₹ (72000-64000)

= ₹ 8000

Hence, its income is ₹ 72000 and savings is ₹ 8000.

Answer:

The ratio to income to expenditure = 9:8

=> Let the income be 9x and expenditure be 8x

Saving = income - expenditure

Saving = 9x - 8x = x

Income = 9x

=> 1800 = 9x

=> 200

=> Saving = 200
