Let the length of rectangle be 4x and the breadth of rectangle be 3x metre.

Area of rectangle - Length x Breadth

1728=4x×3x

144=x2

x=12m

Now, Length = 48 m

Breadth = 36 m

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length+Breadth)

2(48+36)

=168m

Given :

  • Ratio of length and breadth of a rectangle is 4:3.
  • Area of the rectangle is 192 cm².

To find :

  • Perimeter of the rectangle.

Solution :

Let the length of the rectangle be 4x cm and the breadth of the rectangle be 3x cm.

  • Area = 192 cm².

We know,

{\boxed{\bold{Area=length\times\: breadth}}}

According to the question ,

\implies\sf{4x\times\:3x=192}

\implies\sf{12x^2=192}

\implies\sf{x^2=16}

\implies\sf{x=\sqrt{16}}

\implies\sf{x=4}

  • Length = 4×4 = 16 cm.
  • Breadth = 3×4 = 12 cm.

We know,

{\boxed{\bold{Perimeter=2(length+breadth)}}}

\implies\sf{Perimeter=2(16+12)\:cm}

\implies\sf{Perimeter=2\times\:28\:cm}

\implies\sf{Perimeter=56\:cm}

Therefore, the perimeter of the rectangle is 56 cm.
