Answer : Length = 100 metres.

Explanation :-

Given :

The ratio of the length of a school ground to its breadth is 5 ratio 2 find its length if the width property 40 metres.

Given Ratio :

Length : Breadth = 5 : 2.

Length/Breadth = 5/2

Given Breadth is 40 metres.

Let the length be x

According to the given question :-

=> Length/Breadth = 5/2

=> x/breadth = 5/2

=> Breadth = 40

=> x/40 = 5/2

=> Cross Multiplication

=> 2x = 200

=> x = 200/2

=> x = 100

Hence, Length = 100 metres.
