Ratio of length to width = 5:2
Let Length = 5x
Width = 2x

ATQ. Width = 40 metres
Therefore 2x = 40
x = 20

Length = 5(20) = 100 metres

Hope it helps you

first take length be .X

if,given length and width is 5:4

so,5x+4x=7x

now,7x=40-X

so,X=5

length=5x5=25m

breadth=2x5=10

THANKS!
