Gɪᴠᴇɴ , Rᴀᴛɪᴏ ᴏғ ʟᴇɴɢᴛʜ ᴏғ ᴘᴀʀᴇʟʟᴇʟ sɪᴅᴇs ᴏғ ᴀ ᴛʀᴀᴘᴇᴢɪᴜᴍ = 5 : 3

Therefore , sides are 3x and 5x

Dɪsᴛᴀɴᴄᴇ ʙᴇᴛᴡᴇᴇɴ ᴘᴀʀᴇʟʟᴇʟ sɪᴅᴇs =ʜᴇɪɢʜᴛ=16ᴄᴍ

Area = 960 sq.cm

Sᴏʟⁿ:-

Area of trapezium = ½ × ( a + b ) × h

960 = ½ × ( 3x + 5x ) × 16

960 = ½ × 8x × 16 ( after cancellations )

960 = 8x × 8

960 / 8 = 8x

120 = 8x

120 / 8 = x

Therefore , x = 15

Therefore ,length of Sides

3x = 3 × 15 = 45

5x = 5 × 15 = 75
