the ratio of the length of the parallel sides of a Trapezium is 5:3 and the distance between them is 16 cm if the area of trapezium is 960 CM square find the length of the parallel sides

Let the sides be 5x and 3x.
Given,
height=16cm
area=960 cm
960=1/2×16×(5x+3x)
960=8×8x
64x=960
x=960/64
x=15

The parallel sides are 45 and 75.
