Ratio length to width = 5:2

Width = 50cm

Let length = x

Then the proportion

= 5:2 :: x:50

= \frac {2}{x}= \frac {5}{50}

= x = \frac {250}{2}

= x = 125

With this we get,

Length = 125

Breadth = 50

Perimeter of Rectangle

= 2 (l × b )

= 2 (125 + 50)

= 2 × 175

= 350

Area of Rectangle

= l × b

= 125 × 50

= 6250
