We know that the sum of the exterior angles of any polygon in existence is equal to 360°.

Hence ,measure of each of the exterior angles of a regular octagon =360°/Number of angles

=360°/8

=45°

We also know that the sum of an exterior angle +its interior angle=180°.

Hence ,interior angle of the octagon=180°-exterior angle

=180°-45°

=135°

Ratio =135°:45°

=3:1

Answer-3:1 is the ratio of an angle of a regular octagon to its exterior angle.
