Given that : The ratio of two acute angles is 5:4

Let, the angles are 5x and 4x

Also, given that : compliment of one angle twice as large as the compliment of the other.

Now, according to the question :

2(90–5x) = 90–4x

=> 180–10x = 90–4x

=> 6x = 90

=> x = 15

Thus, the angles are : 5x = 5×15 = 75°

and 4x = 4×15 = 60°

Sum of the angles = 75°+60° = 135°
