The ratio of the number if girls to the numbers of boys in a school of 720 students is 3:5.If 18 new boys are admitted in the school,find how many new girls may be admitted so that the ratio of number of girls to the number of boys may change to 2:5. PLZ explain also.

number \: of \: boys \:  = 720 \times  \frac{7}{12}  = 420

number \: of \: girls \:  = 720 - 420 = 300

The required number of girls to be admitted

 = 420 - 300 = 120
