Answer:

beads karen = 20

beads Patricia = 50.

Step-by-step explanation:

2:5 = 2x : 5x

{ we can multiply by same number or variable in both , it will create no any difference as x can cut x}

let number of beads karen = 2x

number of beads Patricia = 5x

75 more beads Patricia were bought

now total beads Patricia will be 5x + 75

so now beads karen : beads Patricia = 2x : 5x+75

But the new given ration is 4:15

it mean 2x : 5x+75 = 4 : 15

cross multiplying 2x with 15 and 5x+75. with 4 and then equate them

30 x = 20x + 300

10 x = 300

x= 30

so originally

beads karen = 2×10= 20

beads Patricia = 5×10=50.
