The ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls in a school of 1440 students is 7:5. If 40 new boys are admitted find how many new girls may be admitted to make this ratio 4:3?

7x+5x=1440
x=120
number of boys=840
number of girls=600.......by given ratio
now,
40 boys are admiitted
number of boys =880
880/number of girls after admission=4/3
number of girls after admission=660
new girls may be admitted=660-600=60
