Solution :

Let :

  • Number of dogs be = 7x
  • Number of Cats be = 12x

As given : There are 48 Cats . Hence ,

12x = 48

x = 48/12

x = 4

So , Value of x is 4.

Hence ,

Number of Dogs = 7x

7(4)

28

Number of Cats = 12x

12(4)

48

There are 28 dogs and 48 Cats .
