Answer:

let the no. of matches won by team A be 2x

therefore no

of matches won by team B is 5x

according to the question, 5x = 2x + 15

5x- 2x = 15

3x = 15

x = 15 / 3

x = 5

Answer:

The minimum matches won by team A = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

The ratio of the number of matches won by team A to team B = 2 : 5

team B won 15 more matches than team A

Let  2x and 5x be the number of matches won by team A and team B

from given data team B won 15 matches more than team A

⇒  the difference between the number of matches won by team  A and team B = 15

⇒ 5x - 2x = 15

           3x = 15

             x = 5

the number of matches won by team A = 2x = 2(5) = 10

the number of matches won by team B = 3x = 3(5) = 15

and the minimum matches won by team A = 10
