Step-by-step explanation:

let the total no. of ug students be 5x and pg students be 4x

total no. of ug students who get scholarship = ( 40/100 ) × 5x

= 2x

no. of ug students does not get scholarship = 5x - 2x = 3x

total no. of pg students who get scholarship = ( 50/100 ) × 4x

= 2x

no. of ug students does not get scholarship = 4x - 2x = 2x

total no. of students who does not get scholarship = 3x + 2x = 5x

percentage of students does not get scholarship = ( 5x / 9x ) × 100

= 55.5 %
