Let marbles with p be 'x'
and marbles with q be 'y'

By Qn,
 \frac{x}{y}  =  \frac{5}{4}
ie
4x - 5y = 0 -  -  -  -  -  - (1)

Again By Qn,

x = 12 + y
ie
x - y = 12 -  -  -  - (2)
(2) \times 4 = 4x - 4y = 48 -  -  -  -  - (3)

(3) - (1) = y = 48
x = 12 + y = 12 + 48 = 60

Thus

Marbles with p is 60 and marbles with q is 48

shubhamcool740: what is qn stand for ??
