ANSWER :

The parallel sides are 32 and 48 respectively

EXPLANATION :

Given:-

h = 15 cm

Parallel sides ratio = 2:3

Area = 600 cm²

To find:-

Length of parallel sides

Solution:-

Let the parallel sides be 2x and 3x

Area of trapezium = 1/2 h(b1+b2)

600 = 1/2 (15)(2x+3x)

1200 = 15 × 5x

1200/15 = 5x

80/5 = x

x = 16 cm

1st parallel side = 2x = 2×16 = 32 cm

2nd parallel side = 3x = 3×16 = 48 cm
