Answer:

The length of the parallel sides are 32 cm and 48 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

The length of the parallel sides are "32 cm and 48 cm".

Step-by-step explanation:

Let  the parallel sides of a trapezium = 2x and 3x

Given,

The distance between them = 15 cm and

the area of the trapezium = 600

To find, the length of the parallel sides = ?

We know that,

Area of the trapezium

=  × (the sum of parallel sides) × (distance between them)

⇒ × (2x + 3x) × (15) = 600

⇒  5x × 15 = 600 × 2 = 1200

⇒  75x = 1200

⇒ x = 1200/75 = 16

∴  2x = 2x16 = 32 & 3x = 3x16 = 48

Hence, the length of the parallel sides are "32 cm and 48 cm".
