The length of the parallel sides are "32 cm and 48 cm".

Step-by-step explanation:

Let  the parallel sides of a trapezium = 2x and 3x

Given,

The distance between them = 15 cm and

the area of the trapezium = 600 cm^2

To find, the length of the parallel sides = ?

We know that,

Area of the trapezium

= \dfrac{1}{2} × (the sum of parallel sides) × (distance between them)

\dfrac{1}{2}× (2x + 3x) × (15) = 600

⇒  5x × 15 = 600 × 2 = 1200

⇒  75x = 1200

⇒ x = \dfrac{1200}{75} =16

2x=2\times 16=32 and 3x=3\times 16=48

Hence, the length of the parallel sides are "32 cm and 48 cm".
