Let the present age of Jack=2x

And the present age of his father=5x

Five year hence ,their age:-

Jack=2x+5

His father=5x+5

Now ratio of their ages=5:11

So A.T.Q,

$\sf\;\frac{2x+5}{5x+5}=\frac{5}{11}\\\\11(2x+5)=5(5x+5)\\\\22x+55=25x+25\\\\22x-25x=25-55\\\\-3x=-30\\\\x=\frac{-30}{-3}\\\\x=10$

Hence the value of is 10

So the present age of Jack=2x

==>2×10=20 years

His father present age=5x

==>5×10=50 years

Hence,the present  age of jack is 20 years and the present age of his father is 50 years .
