4x+3 =5

7x+3 =8

(4x+3)8=(7x+3)5

32x+24=35x+15

35x-32x=24-15

3x=9

x=3

A = 4×3 =12

B=7×3=21

Solution:-

Let the present age of A be 4x years and the of the B is 7x years.

A = 4 x + 3 =5

B= 7x + 3=8

(4x + 3 ) 8 = (7x + 3) 5

32x + 24 =35x + 15

35x - 32 x =24 - 15

x = 3

3x =9

A = 4 × 3 = 12

B = 7 × 3 = 21 Ans
