the ratio of the present ages of Anjali and Anshu is 2 : 3 .Five years hence ,the ratio of their ages will be 3:4. Find their present age.

Let, the present age of Anjali be 2x years and Anshu be 3x years.
After 5years: Anjali's age be (2x+5)years
and Anshu's age be (3x+5)years
B/C,
2x+5/3x+5 =3/4
=>4(2x+5)=3(3x+5)
=>8x+20=9x+15
=>8x-9x=15-20
=> -x=-5
=> x=5
Therefore,
Anjali's present age =(2x5) years=10years
Anshu's present age=(3x5)years=15 years

Anjali age after five years= 2x+5 (or) 3X
Anshu age after five years= 3X+5( or) 4 X

so,
2x +5 +3x +5 = 3x + 4x
5X + 10 = 7x
5x-7x = -10
-2x = -10
X = -10/-2
X = 5
ages after five years,

Anjali age is 15 years.
Anshu age is 20 years.
