Answer:

hiiiiii

your answer is here !

Step-by-step explanation:

Their present ages be 4X and 5X.

5 years ago,

the ratio of their ages was 7:9,

then (4X - 5) :( 5X - 5) = 7:9

X = 45 - 35

⇒ X = 10.

Their present ages are: 40, 50.

Given - Ratio of present and ages five years ago

Find - Present ages

Solution - Present age of Pranav and Qureshi is 40 and 50 respectively.

Let the present ages of Pranav and Qureshi be 4x and 5x. Hence, five years ago, the age of Pranav would be 4x - 5 and the age of Qureshi would be 5x - 5.

Now, as per the information in question, the Mathematical expression that will form is -

(4x - 5)/(5x - 5) = 7/9

Performing cross multiplication to find the value of x.

(4x - 5)*9 = (5x - 5)*7

36x - 45 = 35x - 35

Shifting values of the same type on one side. The new equation will be -

36x - 35x = 45 - 35

x = 10

So, the present age of Pranav = 4x

The present age of Pranav = 4*10

The present age of Pranav = 40

The present age of Qureshi = 5x

The present age of Qureshi = 5*10

The present age of Qureshi = 50

Thus, the present age of Pranav and Qureshi is 40 and 50 respectively.
