Let the present age of Rehana be 2x and her mother be 7x

Then, (2x+2):(7x+2)=1:3

=> 6x+6=7x+2

=> 6-2=7x-6x

=> 4=x

Then, present age of Rehana

= 2*4=8 years Ans.
