the ratio of two circles is in the ration 1:3

let the radii of one circle be x and other be 3x

area of circle with radii x=
\pi {x}^{2} \: {cm}^{2}

area of circle with radii 3x=
\pi ({3x})^{2} = \pi9 {x}^{2} {cm}^{2}

→ ratio of area of circle with radii x cm to ratio of area of circle with radii 3x cm

 = \frac{\pi {x}^{2} }{\pi9 {x}^{2} } \\ = \frac{1}{9}

→ so, 1/9 is the required ratio
