and
volume of cone is 294π cm³

we have to find
diameter of the base of the cone =?

solution:-
we know that
volume of cone = πr²h /3

let
the radius be 7x and height be 6x
because they are in ratio. of 7:6

=> π×(7x)² ×6x = 294π cm³
=> 49x² ×6x = 294 cm³
=> 294 x³= 294 cm³
=> x³ = 1
=> x=1

hence
the radius of base of the cone = 7×1 = 7
then
the diameter of the base of the cone = 2×7 = 14 cm

(2) is the correct option
