In ΔABC

AB = 2x

BC = 4x

AC = 2x

Perimeter = 2x + 4x + 2x = 3600

8x = 3600

x = 450

AB = 2x 450 = 900cm

BC = 1800cm

AC = 900cm

The sides of the triangle are 900cm, 1800cm, and 900cm

Explanation:

Given:

1. The ratio of the three sides of a triangle is 2:4:2

2. The perimeter of a triangle is 3600 cm.

To find:

The sides of the Triangle

Formula:

The Perimeter of Triangle = Sum of the sides

Solution:

==> Three sides are a,b, and c

==> The ratio of triangle is 2:4:2

==> Side a = 2x

==> Side b = 4x

==> Side c = 2x

==> Perimeter = 3600 cm

==> Perimeter = a+b+c

==> 3600 = a+b+c

==> 3600 = 2x+4x+2x

==> 3600 = 8x

==> 8x = 3600

==> x = 3600÷8

==> x = 450

==> Side a = 2(450)

==> Side a = 900 cm

==> Side b = 4(450)

==> Side b = 1800 cm

==> Side c = 2(x)

==> Side c = 900 cm

==> The sides of the triangle are 900cm, 1800cm, and 900cm
