let quantity of tin and zinc be 3x and 4x respectively

Total quantity of allow is 21g

3x+4x = 21

7x = 21

x = 21/7

x = 3

tin = 3×3 = 9g

zinc = 3×4 = 12g

2) Ratio method

Ratio of tin and zinc is 3:4

Total parts = 7

Total quantity of alloy = 21g

Tin = 3/7×21 = 9g

Zinc = 4/7×21 = 12g
