Given :-

Side of cube = 2cm

To Find :-

We have to find the Ratio of their total surface and lateral surface area

Solution :-

\bullet\sf\ \ Total\ surface\ area\ of\ cube= 6a^2\\ \\ \bullet\sf\ Lateral\ Surface\ Area\ of\ cube= 4a^2

  • Where a is the side of cube

Now find the ratio

\dashrightarrow\sf\ \ \dfrac{T.S.A\ of\ Cube}{L.S.A\ of\ Cube}= \dfrac{6\cancel{a^2}}{4\cancel{a^2}}\\ \\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\ \ Ratio= \dfrac{6}{4}\\ \\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\ Ratio= \dfrac{3}{2}\\ \\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\ \ Or\ \  Ratio= 3:2

Some other formula related Cube :-

\star\sf\ \ TSA\ of\ cube= 6a^2\\ \\ \star\sf\  Volume\ of\ cube\ =\ a^3\\ \\ \star\sf\ Diagonal\ of\ Cube= a\sqrt{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

{\huge{\rm{\underline{\underline{Question:}}}}}

The ratio of total surface area of laterel surface area of a cube of side 2 cm is....

{\huge{\rm{\underline{\underline{Solution:}}}}}

\underline{\boxed{\sf{\green{Total\ surface\ area\ of\ cube\ = \bf{6a^2}}}}}

\underline{\boxed{\sf{\green{Lateral\ surface\ area\ of\ cube\ = \bf{4a^2}}}}}

\bf{TSA:LSA\:=\:6a^2:4a^2}

\bf{TSA:LSA\:=\:6:4}

\bf{TSA:LSA\:=\:3:2}

Hence, the ratio = 3:2

Note:

No need to do anything with the value of Side!
