GiveN :

  • Adjacent Sides = 5 : 3
  • Perimeter = 48 cm

To FinD :

  • length of the sides of the parallelogram.

SolutioN :

Let's length of the sides = x

We now that ,

Opposite sides of the parallelogram are equal.

Therefore, third and fourth sides = 5 : 3

Perimeter of parellelogram = sum of all sides .

 \sf48 = 5x + 3x + 5x + 5x \\ \\ \sf48 = 16x \\ \\ \sf \: x = \frac{ \cancel{48}}{ \cancel{16}} = 3

Length of the first and third sides

= 5x

= 5 × 3

= 15 cm

Length of the second and fourth =

= 3x

= 3 × 3

= 9 cm
