The ratio of two adjacent sides of a parallelogram is 5.4 it"s perimeter is 18cm then,what is the length of adjacent sides.

Let the length be 5x

Let the breadth be 4 x

⇒  Perimeter =2(5x+4 x )

⇒  8=2 ( 9 x )

⇒  4=9 x

∴  x=0.44

⇒  Length =5x=5×0.44=2.2cm

⇒  Breadth 4 x=4×0.44=1.8cm

∴  The length of the adjacent sides are 2.2cm and 1.8cm
